Library & Reading
- All classes have a rostered library lesson.
- Students are encouraged to borrow on a regular basis.
- Library is open for students to use during the lunch hour.
- Opportunity to donate books to the library is given during Education Week or Book Week.
- Lost books are to be paid for.
- Parent helpers are always welcome in the library. Regular workshops are organised by the librarian to train parents in repair techniques, shelving, data entry. Please see the librarian if you are interested in assisting in this area.
The school library is a central source of books for students' pleasure and learning. The school however is always looking to enlarge the collection. Parents are asked to support the school in our efforts to give the children the best range of books we can.
Premiers Reading Challenge
We have participated in the Premier's Reading Challenge since its inception with growing participation each year. It provides a wonderful focus for readers of all ages and abilities from K-6. Our Library is proud of its comprehensive range of titles for the challenge.
